Label Text:Mi Terro uses biotechnology to re-engineer food waste into sustainable fibers. According to the brand, 128 million tons of milk goes to waste every year. This t-shirt is made from casein, a protein extracted from spoiled milk. Because 15-20% of each shirt is composed of milk products, the equivalent of one glass of milk goes into the production of five shirts. Mi Terro’s milk tee also uses 60% less water than an organic cotton shirt, is odor free, and has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
