Label Text:Mexican designer Ricardo Seco uses corn to represent the duality of immigrant experiences. His ensemble features a t-shirt slogan that translates to “Mexico’s Soul Is Made of Corn,” as well as images of pre-Colombian corn gods. He notes that these deities were formed from two traditions: Aztec and Mayan. Corn is celebrated as a bridge between two cultures.
