Label Text:Alexander McQueen’s designs conveyed fantasy and drama. His Elect Dissect couture collection told the story of a doctor who murdered women to create hybrid creatures that haunted the living. The collection embraced mixed visual references from Scottish tartan and Spanish lace to Burmese necklaces and eastern folk dress, challenging viewers to explore new notions of beauty.
