Label Text:For this look, Rei Kawakubo distorted the wearer’s body with soft padding. It was produced for her renowned Body Meets Dress, Dress Meets Body collection of spring 1997. Each look included padding in various shapes and positions. The collection challenged the traditional relationship between fashion and the body, as well as the idealized female physique.
