Label Text:The Dior Boutique sold off-the-rack fashion, but clients could request alterations. While the boutique clothing was nowhere near as costly as couture, its fit and attention to detail – evidenced by the delicate, hand-beaded accents on this dress – led New York Times editor Gloria Emerson to recommend it only for those with “lots of money to spend.”
