Label Text:Claude Sabbah’s designs pull references from street style, military uniforms, and Sabbah’s native Morocco. Here, Sabbah embroidered a pair of “sagged” jeans with stars reminiscent of the American flag, then dressed them with a top inspired by a bulletproof vest to give the ensemble an immediate political charge. Eminem was photographed wearing a similar look in Hip-Hop Connection magazine in 2000.
