DescriptionGreen silk damask shoes with large floral weave pattern, front tab ends extending from side back panel, quarter and fabric covered wide Louis heels, white topstitching at inside curve and lower heel, pointed slightly upturned toes, lined in natural linen; green topstitching at seams and finished edges, brown leather soles and heel sole
Label Text:Made of ornate silk and linen with shimmery buckles, these shoes would have been a sign of the wearer’s wealth and status. Some eighteenth-century buckles were indeed made with diamonds, but many were paste like the buckles here.
