Label Text:While all ballet dancers wear soft slippers, only the ballerina dons the iconic pointe shoe. Beautiful and magical on stage, the pointe shoe has become a fashionable fetish object. Noritaka Tatehana’s extreme version, eighteen inches long, was designed for Lady Gaga’s Marry the Night video.
