Label Text:“Mrs. Toledo cuts and sews fabrics in unusual and often intricate ways to produce clothes of architectural purity,” wrote New York Times fashion critic Anne-Marie Schiro. Even when using soft jersey—one of her favorite fabrics—Toledo was able to create structured garments by employing construction techniques such as thick, welted seams.
