Label Text:Red, white, and pink are Japan’s favorite colors (in that order) and have played an important role in Japanese culture. But pink’s greatest impact came during the late twentieth century, with the rise of Japanese girl culture. This is not the pink of cherry blossoms, but rather a “cute” pink, drawing on ideas of childish femininity.
