Label Text:This evening dress was inspired by a trip to Death Valley taken by the Mulleavy sisters of Rodarte. They wanted to bring out the “ugly, yet beautiful” aspect of the California condor. They meticulously deconstructed various materials and pricked holes in the leather to resemble the bird’s skin, giving the collection a dark and gothic quality.
