DescriptionUnbleached white cotton muslin floor length sleeveless bubble dress with two sets of ties in same fabric - ties are also trim detail at front neckline and CF opening - one set creates front cowl neckline, and the other set control the skirt height opening and the volume of front drape; surface of fabric has been randomly pleated and top stitched down creating a bubbling drawstring draped effect overall; elastic gathered armholes

Here he used unbleached muslin—a material typically reserved for samples—thoughtfully draping, tucking, and gathering the fabric around the body to create a romantic dress. Fashion historian Patricia Mears observed, “Cables become a poetic element in the hands of Epperson.”
