Label Text:Isabel Eberstadt purchased this suit from Courrèges’ first collection, described by an audience member as having “not one mistake in taste.” Infused with a fashion-forward sensibility, the suit reflects the couturier’s training at Balenciaga. Advanced tailoring techniques were required for the jacket to stand away from the body in such a sculptural manner. Courrèges reinforced the suit’s angularity with a bold houndstooth fabric, the pattern matched with precision.
