Label Text:Catherine Malandrino’s iconic Flag dress debuted in 2001. Originally worn by many celebrities and socialites as a demonstration of post-9/11patriotism, it was reissued to commemorate Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential election. The dress is printed with a collage of American flags; Malandrino says she “was inspired by the symbol of freedom” she found there.
