DescriptionPair of neoclassical style flat yellow leather slippers with myrtle leaf embroidery in gold gilt and metal sequins at vamp
Label Text:The flat slippers of the early nineteenth century were considered more practical and egalitarian than their earlier, high-heeled counterparts. The embellishment on these shoes, in gilt thread and sequins, resembles a myrtle leaf, a neoclassical motif favored by French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and used to decorate his palace.
