Label Text:Style icons Madonna and Demi Moore wore this design to the same post-Oscar party, adding celebrity allure to an already glamorous dress. Von Furstenberg reinterpreted the functionality of her signature wrap dress as an evening gown, creating a “liquid copper” silhouette. Her use of bias-cut fabric and complicated wrapping techniques evokes Vionnet’s work from the 1930s. Two rhinestone- beaded epaulets are the only adornment, a subtle nod to von Furstenberg’s Art Deco inspiration.
