Label Text:Jacques Fath was a giant of postwar Parisian fashion. His work celebrated glamour, youth, and femininity. Strategic details, such as peplums, emphasized the curvaceous figure prominent during the 1950s. A few years prior to his untimely death in 1954, Life magazine described the charismatic Fath as “a sort of dauphin, or heir apparent, to Dior’s throne as ruler of fashion.”
