Label Text:This cap was worn as a form of casual dress and was intended to accompany a luxurious silk robe, a banyan, resulting in a fashionable dishabille that allowed the wearer to relax at home in a state of worldly opulence. Not surprisingly, exotic elements like bizarre silk and tassels were common.
