Label Text:Thierry Mugler used glistening silver lamé to create this dress. In it, he fused a futuristic aesthetic with the body-conscious silhouette that came to define the 1980s. European folklore often associated silver with the mystical and supernatural, but during the 20th century, silver increasingly became synonymous with the space age vision of a technological future.
