Van Noten’s inspiration for his Fall 2000 collection was the Bloomsbury Group, a circle of London intellectuals in the 1920s and 1930s. However, the voluminous collar of the suit reads as an updated version of the shawl collars Dior favored on his suits during the 1950s.
DescriptionSuit in black and white wool/Spandex tweed with sparkle of fine black nylon machine embroidered and clipped; jacket with wide, voluminous shawl collar variation on deep V-neck, stylized kimono sleeve with shaped full-length underarm panel, single CF concealed button; straight skirtCollections
