Label Text:Ann Demeulemeester’s edgy designs are often based on classic styles. This deceptively simple black dress incorporates her mastery of drapery. A high collar encircles the neck, while thick folds of fabric wrap the waist. The garment conceals the body, yet the long slit in the bodice is unexpectedly revealing. Demeulemeester’s unique, emotionally-charged designs are acclaimed for eschewing trends, instead reworking and improving upon her distinct personal vision.
