Label Text:This suit showcases Adrian’s artful manipulation of pattern. In order to maximize visual interest, he has placed stripes on both the horizontal and the vertical axes. Adrian was famed for expert tailoring, especially intricately mitered pattern pieces, while a chic, broad-shouldered suit was a staple in the wardrobe of the 1940s woman.
