The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Online Collection

dressWe invite you to explore, learn, and spark your creativity through the MFIT Online Collection. Presented here are 350 of the more than 100,000 objects in the museum’s holdings of historic and contemporary fashion and textiles. You will find exquisite images, extensive object descriptions, and numerous designer biographies.

You may explore our collections one of four ways from the left-hand navigation menu.
  1. Type a word or phrase into the Quick Search field and click the arrow. To view all objects, type an asterisk (*) and click the arrow.
  2. Browse the galleries we’ve provided for you.
  3. Perform an advanced search for more specific results by clicking the search button in the menu to the left.
  4. Sign On to My Collection in order to save your own personalized collection of objects and images to come back to. When you are signed on, you can view collections created by other users and allow others to view your special collection.
